The Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran (FIB Unpad), welcomed an official visit from the Indonesian Literature Study Program of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Mulawarman (Unmul), at its Jatinangor Campus on Monday, 20 April 2026. The visit was marked by the signing of an Implementation Arrangement (IA) between the two study programs to facilitate academic benchmarking and governance collaboration in preparation for achieving Excellent Accreditation (Akreditasi Unggul).
The agreement was signed by the Dean of FIB Unpad, Prof. Aquarini Priyatna, M.A., M.Hum., Ph.D., and the Coordinator of the Indonesian Literature Study Program at FIB Unmul, Anwar Ibrahim Triyoga, M.Phil. The initiative follows the Tri Dharma Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) established between the two universities on 4 November 2024.
As part of the benchmarking program, the Indonesian Literature Study Program at FIB Unpad shared its best practices with its counterparts from Unmul in three key areas: curriculum development and the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), accreditation document management, and strategies for achieving Key Performance Indicators (IKU). These areas have been instrumental in the Indonesian Literature Study Program’s success in attaining and maintaining its Excellent Accreditation status.
The benchmarking activities will be conducted over seven working days, with no financial transactions between the two institutions. Technical coordination on behalf of Unpad is led by Nani Darmayanti, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., Head of the Indonesian Literature Study Program.
This collaboration is expected to serve as the foundation for a broader academic partnership between FIB Unpad and FIB Unmul, creating opportunities for future joint research, academic exchange, and collaborative educational initiatives.
The academic benchmarking activity and the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Indonesian Literature Study Program of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) at Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at Universitas Mulawarman (Unmul) are highly relevant to efforts to achieve SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. The sharing of best practices in curriculum development, the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), and strategies for achieving excellent accreditation directly contribute to improving the quality of inclusive and equitable higher education in Indonesia. Through collaboration and capacity exchange between institutions without financial transactions, the two universities are building a strong partnership to strengthen the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi), contributing to a better future for national education.
