In 2021, the faculty recorded its highest proportion of financial aid recipients, with approximately 12.4% of students receiving support. This elevated figure largely aligns with increased emergency aid and financial relief initiatives introduced during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to assist families facing economic strain. As conditions normalized, the ratio dipped sharply to 8.0% in 2022, before seeing a modest rise to 8.8% in 2023.
The proportion reached its lowest point in 2024, with only 6.2% of the student body receiving aid. However, this downward trend reversed significantly in 2025, rising back to nearly 9.5%. This recent uptick underscores renewed efforts by the faculty and university to broaden access to financial aid, ensuring that economic constraints do not hinder students’ academic pursuits.
This data directly supports SDG 4: Quality Education (specifically Target 4.b, which focuses on expanding higher education scholarships) and SDG 1: No Poverty (Target 1.3, aimed at implementing social protection systems).
