Fkep Unpad Expert Delivered Public Lecture to Umgo Academic Community

Jatinangor, February 27, 2024 – Palliative Care and Mental Health experts from the Faculty of Nursing (Fkep) Universitas Padjadjaran delivered a public lecture in front of students and lecturers of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo in Suharyati Hall, Fkep Unpad Jatinangor, Wednesday (21/2).

This activity was supported by various faculties in Unpad, one of which was the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB).

The speakers were Hana Rizmadewi Agustina, who discussed “Trends, Issues, and Development of Palliative Care” and Prof. Suryani, with the topic “Nursing Care with Psychosocial Disorders.”

In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Kusman Ibrahim, Ph.D hoped that the expert lecture attended by students and lecturers from Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo could be useful, insightful, as well as become a valuable experience and more enthusiastic to advance palliative care and mental health.

According to the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Andi Akifa Sudirman, the visit of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo was also intended to establish cooperation with the Faculty of Nursing Unpad on the tridarma of higher education.

Hopefully, opportunities for cooperation between the two institutions in the future can be increased, especially in the fields of Palliative Care and Mental Health, for more significant benefits for the wider community. In addition, it is also hoped that nursing education will be more advanced and continue to keep up with the times.
