BANDUNG – The Faculty of Cultural Sciences at Padjadjaran University (FIB Unpad) once again sent off its best graduates at the 2024/2025 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony. Data released by the Academic and Student Affairs Office of FIB Unpad shows a very proud achievement: a total of 689 students graduated, 484 of whom (70.2%) were female graduates. Meanwhile, there were 205 male graduates (29.8%).

The dominance of women among graduates consistently reflects the composition of active students at FIB Unpad and further confirms the trend that the humanities and cultural sciences are highly attractive and successful among women.
This success is evenly distributed across all levels of education, from Doctoral to Applied Bachelor’s programmes.

  1. Bachelor’s Degree Programme (S1): A total of 582 students earned their Bachelor’s degrees. With the largest contribution, female graduates at this level are estimated to dominate, consistent with the overall percentage (70.2%).
  2. Master’s Programme (S2): A total of 35 people graduated with a Master’s degree. Academic achievements at the postgraduate level are also largely dominated by women.
  3. Doctoral Programme (S3): FIB Unpad graduated 33 new doctors. The high percentage of women at this level shows the significant contribution of female academics to the development of science and research in the humanities.
  4. Applied Bachelor’s Degree Programme (D4): The vocational level also graduated 39 students, with female graduates also making a major contribution.
The high number of female graduates is inseparable from the supportive and empowering academic environment at FIB Unpad, with various academic mentoring programmes, counselling, and inclusive policies that enable every student to develop optimally.

FIB Unpad graduates are expected to become agents of change who bring honour to their alma mater and make positive contributions to society, both nationally and globally. Congratulations and best wishes to the FIB Unpad graduates of the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
