Improving the Quality of Human Resources, Nias Regency Government Establishes Cooperation with Unpad

Jatinangor, West Java – Collaboration between universities and local stakeholders is one way that can be used as a form of implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, especially by going to the community. This is so that both parties share knowledge and solutions to overcome the problems they have.

Universitas Padjadjaran and the South Nias Regency Government are actively working together to develop human resources. The cooperation was ratified through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation Agreement (PKS) at a meeting in Livin Meeting Room, Unpad Rectorate Building Jatinangor on Monday (5/20/2024).

In its implementation, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was carried out by the Vice Chancellor for Organization and Planning of Unpad, Prof. Drs. Yanyan Mochamad Yani who represented the Chancellor of Unpad, Prof. Rina Indiastuti. Meanwhile, the Nias Regency Government was represented by the Regent of South Nias, Dr. Hilarius Duha.

In addition to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, a Cooperation Agreement was also signed between Universitas Padjadjaran and the Government of South Nias Regency. In this case, the signing was carried out by the Director of Governance, Legal, and Communication, Prof. Dr. H. Isis Ikhwansyah with the Head of the South Nias Regency Education Office, Nurhayati Telaumbanua.

“I believe this cooperation can improve human resources. Thank you for the reception from Universitas Padjadjaran to the Government of South Nias Regency, hopefully, what we expect, especially this cooperation will continue, not as the first and last,” hoped Hilarius.

The cooperation built between Universitas Padjadjaran and the Government of South Nias Regency is expected to be one of the solid bridges in realizing Unpad’s service to the community.
