Unpad’s PUSPA Day Care Supports Employees’ and Students’ Seven Children

Jatinangor, December 15 – In Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), staff members and a number of students in many faculties, including the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, juggle working on their thesis or finish essays, while taking care of little children. This compartmentalized role often creates some challenges, particularly when relying on household help who may not be fully aware of the specific needs and expectations from these situations. 

Unpad set up a PUSPA Day Care facility to deal with these problems. Every mother who works or goes to school can leave their children in this place. They are assured that their children will be safe throughout while they go about doing what has made them end up being good mothers. PUSPA lightens the load of finding reliable, affordable child care and creates a village for these parents.

PUSPA aims to support the right growth of infants and children beyond convenience. The nursery manages to provide adequate love, care, and attention as well as feeding and drinking rest, hygiene from June 7th. Furthermore, programs provide guided learning experiences with other children in a group setting led by educated instructors. It provides a good impact on their growth and development with this holistic approach.

Starting July, PUSPA opened for the employees’ children, lecturers and postgraduate students (LPPM) in Unpad Jatinangor and local residents. Presently, there are seven children in their daycare with another 11 participating in the early childhood education program.

This made it possible for parents built by the Unpad community and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences to feel safe to live in their perspective and professional lives knowing that they are treated with high care.
